Auguste DURAND-ROSÉ

(1887-1962)

born in Marseille. Having studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille, he was then a teacher at the same school.

He moved to Paris where he exhibited in numerous galleries and was a friend to André Derain, Maurice Utrillo, Maurice de Vlaminck, Othon Friesz, Moïse Kisling and Albert Marquet.
